I founded NextStep Marketing in 2007 with a goal of educating clients on how to develop a clear strategy for increasing market exposure and improving sales performance. What I discovered is that a lot of companies needed more than just the knowledge. They needed someone to step in and be hands-on throughout the process.
Over the past 8 years, I have acted as an interim executive for a multitude of clients both large and small. For the past 2 years, I have been the acting Vice President of Sales & Marketing for a well-funded startup generic pharmaceutical company. In addition, I recently completed a 6-month sales operations project for a large biotech research company and, continue to work with several organizations in the sales, marketing and, organizational operations space.

- Managing and developing sales teams.
- Directed day-to-day sales and marketing operations including deal negotiation, pricing, and CRM development.
Helen Davis has 20+ years in developing collateral of all types for our clients and is now a Certified Associate in Project Managment. For Helen, it is all about understanding the client – who they are and the message they want to convey. A key part of success for all businesses is crafting the right message to reach their target market. However, the creative process can be a challenge for a lot of businesses and she can help take the stress out of that process. Helen has developed materials for clients for the past 20+ years in the financial industry, public school districts, auto sales industry, and others. She develops websites, press releases, newsletters, email marketing campaigns, brochures and, social media content in addition to helping redevelop existing collateral and websites.

Madelaine Davis is a graduate of both the University of North Carolina – Greensboro where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a double major in History and Women’s and Gender Studies with a minor in Anthropology, and Johnson and Wales University – Charlotte where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Culinary Arts. She is a tremendous asset in assisting with all aspects of NextStep Marketing.
Madelaine uses her strong writing and communications skills to assist the firm with collateral development for clients as well as for NextStep Marketing. She has used her expertise as a writer, photographer, and marketer in a number of ventures, both business and nonprofit related.
